community partners + relationships
relationships are everything in life and it’s those relationships that weave together the fabric of all of our communities. our community partners represent some of the finest people and causes that bring us together to support one another and make us all stronger. these partners are in and around our community. we choose to work with them lifting them up any way we can.
community involvement has been a pillar of new reflections mission and culture since inception. as a team, and as individuals, we regularly participate in charitable events through product and service donations, fundraising, and volunteer ventures. in addition to our on-going support and participation in aveda’s april earth month and octobers breast cancer awareness month activities, we work with local organizations and people facing the anguish of cancer.
we are so grateful to share our passion for giving back to the community and assisting those in need. please familiarize yourself with these outstanding organizations.
Please feel free to familiarize yourself with these fabulous organizations.

Diane Keller – President/Owner

“Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation provides the quickest access to help for the most urgent daily needs of local breast cancer patients and their families. Since being founded in 2001, their programs help keep breast cancer patients and their families in their home, keep that home warm with the lights on, keep healthy food on the table for both the patient and their family, and help patients get to treatment through transportation assistance and childcare.”

how it works
Hope Chest for Breast Cancer provides Emergency Assistance Grants to support local breast cancer patients and their families. Our business model combines the power of a foundation and revenue-generating Resale Shops. The Foundation combines donations, grants, event revenues and store proceeds to provide a solid revenue stream for its mission.
Hope Chest Resale Shops are open seven days per week and sell merchandise at a fraction of the cost because all of the items — from evening wear to end tables — are donated from individuals or corporations. Currently, we have three Resale Shops located in the Twin Cities; Bloomington, Eden Prairie and Orono. The mantra of our Resale Shops is: “Excellent quality, excellent buys…all for an excellent cause.”

Coated In Love
coated in love
“And one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled”, and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?” James 2:16
Imagine yourself being cold during a long Minnesota winter. Unfortunately, thousands of children within our communities lack adequate winter clothing, such as a coat, a hat, or even a pair of mittens.
Coated in Love is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that children in Minnesota do not go another winter without these necessary essentials.
Please join us in our campaign to provide coats, hats and mittens to children in need. Once we have collected these items, we will distribute them to Minnesota based families whose children are deprived of these most basic necessities.
It is because of our love for God and His children that we ask you to please donate new or gently used winter apparel for kids ages birth to eighteen years. Please stay tuned as we will be posting our drop off locations around the Metro area. Every child deserves to be warm, filled, and Coated In Love!

aveda nepal story
the aveda nepal story
We’re typically not overly enthusiastic about paper, but the hand-crafted lokta bark paper that has dressed our holiday gift sets for the last eight years, is the brilliant exception to our rule.
Created by the Himalayan Bio-Trade (HBTL) papermaking cooperative in Nepal, this wrap star is colorful, recyclable and richly textured. And because lokta bark paper is Certified Wildlife Friendly®, animals such as the red panda, musk deer and endangered snow leopard have their habitat protected.
We also like to think of it as paper for the people; over the course of our partnership with HBTL more than 5,500* people have been hired to make more than 2,000,000 sheets of paper, allowing 6,100 children to attend school, and 2,475 families to buy food and clothing.
Helping to Rebuild
This spring devastating earthquakes hit Kathmandu, Nepal, and we offer a big thank you to all of you who’ve shown your care and support for our friends in Nepal. Thanks to your donations, donations from Aveda and from our parent company The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. – we are assisting in ongoing recovery efforts.
